TL;DR

Platform Engineer - Compute (Go/Kubernetes): Designing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators and cloud platform services for a real-time financial crime prevention system with an accent on automation, reliability, and developer experience. Focus on building self-healing infrastructure, optimizing GitOps pipelines, and implementing scalable cloud-native patterns.

Location: Remote (Portugal)

What you will do

Design and maintain Kubernetes Operators and platform services, including deployment and monitoring.
Develop platform tooling using Go and other languages following team best practices.
Automate cloud infrastructure and incident response to improve system reliability and self-healing.
Manage and optimize product deployment pipelines using GitOps (FluxCD, Argo CD).
Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and platform lifecycle management in production.
Collaborate with product teams to enhance developer experience and platform capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure.
Strong programming skills in Go, Java, or similar.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab) and GitOps tools (FluxCD, Argo CD).
Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and IaC (Terraform, Crossplane).

Nice to have

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with AI-augmented development tools like Cursor.
Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, cloud, or programming.
