Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/Cloud): Building self-service developer platforms and cloud-native infrastructure for a large-scale marketplace with an accent on Kubernetes, developer experience, automation, reliability, and observability. Focus on designing CI/CD and GitOps workflows, improving fault tolerance and scalability, and operating secure, cost-efficient platform foundations.
Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, with a minimum of 2 days per week at the Amsterdam HQ. Open to candidates worldwide; visa sponsorship and relocation support may be available for selected candidates.

What you will do
- Build and maintain a self-service developer platform that simplifies application deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Orchestrate cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters and other cloud resources, with attention to scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, reusable templates, and automation to improve developer productivity.
- Strengthen reliability through fault tolerance, disaster recovery, scaling, and proactive incident management.
- Improve platform operations and observability while collaborating with product teams on simple, impactful solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience automating workflows and CI/CD pipelines with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Strong ownership of platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams and share knowledge.
- Availability to work from the Amsterdam office at least 2 days per week.
