What you will do
- Take ownership of specific P&L areas within the monthly management accounts for UK Opex, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare, review, and challenge accruals and prepayments with robust supporting documentation.
- Deliver insightful monthly Opex reporting, including detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Provide high-quality financial commentary highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Partner with the FP&A team to support monthly reforecasting and budgeting cycles.
Requirements
- Studying towards or holding a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Strong technical accounting foundation with experience in management accounting and month-end close.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear business insights.
- Confident communication skills to engage and challenge non-finance stakeholders.
- Resilience and organization to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Location: Must be based in Leeds, United Kingdom
