LUDO ROBOTICS is a Bay Area robotics startup developing data-driven general-purpose robotic intelligence systems with support from ’s AI Center.
What you will do
- Design, develop, deploy, and validate software for navigation, motion planning and control, SLAM, perception, manipulation, and high-level robotic behaviors.
- Write and maintain production-grade C++ and Python for robotic platforms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and compute while leading hardware bring-up, calibration, and validation on physical robots.
- Deploy and monitor robotic systems in production environments and field sites, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Test, troubleshoot, and debug failures across hardware, software, and machine learning model layers.
- Collaborate with ML, robotics, hardware, operations, and R&D teams to improve robot algorithms and system performance.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics application development, system integration, or field deployment.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying software on physical robots.
- Working knowledge of ROS, ROS2, or other robotics middleware.
- Strong systems-level understanding of robotic software modules, interfaces, and hardware interactions.
Nice to have
- Technical depth in navigation, motion planning and control, SLAM, perception or computer vision, or manipulation.
- Experience integrating machine learning models into robotic systems.
- Background in autonomous systems, drones, autonomous vehicles, or industrial automation.
- Experience with vision systems, simulation, sensor calibration, embedded systems, or real-time systems.
