What you will do

• Operationalize the crisis management program by translating industry frameworks (NIMS/ICS, ISO 22361, ISO 22301) into scalable response plans and playbooks.
• Serve as Incident Commander or provide direct support during real-time activations, coordinating cross-functional response teams.
• Design and facilitate tabletop simulations and exercises to test readiness and surface improvement opportunities.
• Lead after-action reviews to track corrective actions and integrate lessons learned into future training and protocols.
• Partner with GSOC, Legal, People, Communications, and IT Security to build a coordinated response capability across diverse threat landscapes.
• Integrate AI tools into the identification, response, and recovery processes for operational threats.

Requirements

• Must be based in or near San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, or Washington, DC (Hybrid policy requires 25% office presence).
• 8+ years of professional experience in emergency, incident, or crisis management.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional response teams as an Incident Commander in high-stress environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to deliver executive briefings during active incidents and build trusted internal partnerships.
• Available for on-call support and flexible hours, including nights and weekends, during crisis events.

Nice to have

• Experience applying NIMS/ICS in corporate or hybrid environments.
• Background in the technology sector, specifically with cloud-native or AI-driven organizations.
• Professional certifications such as CEM, CBCP, or MBCI.
• Expertise in ISO 22361, ISO 22301, and related resilience standards.
• Experience with crisis management platforms and mass notification tools like Everbridge, Veoci, or OnSolve.
