What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of construction-site security plans, crisis response protocols, and pre-opening documentation.
• Coordinate site access controls, contractor credentialing, and perimeter protection for the active development site.
• Partner with design and technology stakeholders to integrate CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection into the site masterplan.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with local law enforcement and emergency management agencies.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews across all phases of site development.
• Develop the pre-opening security operating model, including staffing assumptions and training needs.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in corporate security, infrastructure security, law enforcement, or military.
• Proven track record in security planning for complex construction, renovation, or pre-opening environments.
• Strong knowledge of local law enforcement operations and emergency response protocols.
• Experience managing security leaders, officers, and third-party security providers.
• Must be able to work onsite at the National Harbor development site.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of security platforms such as Software House CCure, Genetec, NEC EVA, SQL Server, or Oracle applications.
• Ability to interpret site plans, construction phasing, and security drawings.
• Experience in high-pressure development environments with a focus on budget and schedule impact.
