Operations Control Services Specialist (Financial Services)

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto until approximately late 2026, then Mississauga; current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 65,000–80,000 total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target discretionary bonus.

Fidelity Clearing Canada provides trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms.

What you will do

• Reconcile daily exchange activity and ensure trade breaks and discrepancies are documented, resolved, escalated, and communicated to clients and Introducing Brokers.
• Process trade cancellations, corrections, adjustments, and amendments received from Introducing Brokers by email or uDirect.
• Manage option assignments, exercises, contrary exercise instructions, expiries, journal entries, and related underlying securities transactions.
• Record options transactions accurately in Dataphile and SOLA, and monitor and match Dataphile trades through ARROW.
• Process corporate actions and reorganizations, communicate account adjustments, and issue timely client notifications.
• Monitor, pledge, and release collateral held at the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation while meeting pre-market and settlement deadlines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant operations experience in the financial services industry.
• Two-year post-secondary program or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of trade reconciliation; Broadridge Dataphile experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently and collaboratively.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in brokerage, correspondent clearing, or custody operations.
• Canadian Securities Course or IFIC certificate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
