What you will do
- Validate ETL processes, referential integrity, constraints, and data normalization.
- Perform functional testing on core database objects, including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
- Verify data migrations and system integrity using complex SQL queries.
- Validate data pipelines and business logic within BI tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts for database regression and integration testing.
- Monitor execution plans and collaborate with DBAs to fine-tune system performance.
Requirements
- Advanced ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for deep data verification.
- Proven experience validating ETL/ELT data pipelines in data warehousing environments.
- Proficiency in documenting full-lifecycle test plans, cases, and defects in JIRA or TestRail.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Selenium, or custom database scripting.
- Solid understanding of data normalization and schema validation.
Nice to have
- Experience with non-functional testing using Apache JMeter for load and stress tests.
- Experience testing presentation layers and reports in Tableau or Power BI.
- Understanding of query execution plans and database indexing strategies.
