Manager, Database Administration (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of database administrators, managing workloads and career growth.
• Develop and execute the enterprise database infrastructure strategy aligned with business growth projections.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL systems across cloud and physical environments.
• Enforce database governance policies, including change management and capacity planning.
• Manage database security, technical controls, and compliance with SOC2/ISO27001 standards.
• Own the enterprise disaster recovery strategy and oversee backup/recovery methodologies (e.g., RMAN for Oracle).

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in database administration, with 10+ years focused on Oracle 19c+.
• 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2012+ and PostgreSQL.
• Expert-level knowledge of PL/SQL coding, query optimization, and Linux system administration.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, and PowerShell scripting.
• Must be located in or able to work from Raleigh, North Carolina.
