Director, Cloud Governance (Gamedev)

Location: Remote for individuals based in Canada or the United States

Salary: $175,000 - $210,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and lead a Cloud Governance team and define the operating model for partnering with game teams, security, and FinOps.
• Design and implement enforceable controls across AWS (SCPs) and GCP (Organization Policies and IAM constraints).
• Standardize AWS account structures, GCP project/folder hierarchies, and environment segmentation.
• Define and enforce tagging standards to ensure all resources are attributable for cost allocation and visibility.
• Collaborate with FinOps and Security to align governance with budgets, quotas, and compliance requirements.
• Architect and drive an AI-native vision for autonomous cloud monitoring and remediation of anomalies at scale.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 3–5+ years of experience leading teams in complex, multi-team or federated engineering environments.
• Proven track record of implementing cloud governance at scale, managing environments with $50M+ cloud spend.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS and GCP.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and policy-as-code tools (OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config).
• Must be based in Canada or the United States
