What you will do

• Serve as the SME for equipment safety design and engineering standards across the fulfillment network.
• Review engineering drawings, CAD files, and vendor specifications for conveyors, automation, and racking systems.
• Conduct safety design reviews and risk assessments using ISO 12100 and ANSI B11 principles.
• Define acceptance criteria for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Develop and maintain network-wide equipment safety policies and technical design requirements.
• Provide technical support for incident investigations and complex equipment safety assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Safety, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading CAD files and engineering drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Deep knowledge of safety standards: OSHA (29 CFR 1910/1926), NFPA, ANSI, UL, and NEC.
• Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes and hierarchy-of-controls principles.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification.
• Experience with robotics, AMR/AGV technology, or ISO 45001/13849 implementation.
• Structural background in evaluating mezzanines and conveyor support systems.
• Familiarity with ergonomics principles applied to warehousing equipment.
