TL;DR
Business Controller (Finance): Supporting the General Manager of the business unit by reporting product profitability and analyzing key metrics with an accent on financial reporting, KPI maintenance, and business intelligence. Focus on optimizing operational efficiency, leading a finance team, and driving continuous improvement projects.
Location: Hybrid (Must be based in South Charlotte, NC; 4 days in office, 1 from home)

What you will do
- Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager, reporting product profitability and key metrics analysis.
- Manage and coach a team of 4 finance professionals, including Cost Accounting and Accounts Payables.
- Develop and maintain financial and non-financial KPIs and business control processes to identify early risks.
- Utilize business intelligence tools to facilitate measuring, reporting, and controlling processes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focusing on Service Excellence, Operational Efficiency, and Total Logistics Cost.
- Oversee investment payback and safeguard company assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Control, preferably within manufacturing or distribution.
- 3 years of supervisory experience managing at least 2 direct reports.
- Must be based in South Charlotte, NC to accommodate the hybrid schedule.
- Proven experience implementing and utilizing Business Intelligence tools.
- Expert-level Excel skills, including PowerPivot and querying.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Formal Six Sigma training.
- Project Management experience.
