What you will do

• Develop, qualify, and transition best-in-class aviation electronics flight hardware to market.
• Design and analyze the structural and thermal performance of electronic systems.
• Act as a mechanical packaging expert during proposal development, steering design philosophy and managing technical risks.
• Create and review CAD models, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and assembly drawings.
• Prepare critical technical data including thermal, vibration, and mechanical tolerance reports.
• Ensure projects meet all cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Ability to access United States Export Controlled information.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis of complex mechanical systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX (UniGraphics) and ANSYS (FEA, ICEPAK, Sherlock).
• Knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis (Worst Case, RSS, 6-Sigma).
• Understanding of shock, random vibration, and solder fatigue analysis for PCBs.
• Familiarity with basic electrical engineering principles and interconnect products.
