Mechatronics Engineer

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States; domestic and/or international travel may be required up to 10%.

Salary: $87,000–$128,000 for JG07, $102,000–$150,000 for JG08, and $126,000–$186,000 for JG09 per year.

What you will do

• Specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test mechatronics modules, tools, and system-level solutions.
• Identify, analyze, document, and manage technical requirements, traceability, and verification criteria.
• Develop engineering concepts, design solutions, and technical tradeoffs addressing performance, cost, schedule, safety, and compliance.
• Define specifications and high-level designs, align interfaces, and support design reviews and approvals.
• Coordinate system and product integration, dependencies, configuration needs, verification, validation, and qualification evidence.
• Plan and track work, manage risks and dependencies, maintain technical documentation, share knowledge, and coach or mentor others as appropriate.

Requirements

• JG07: BS degree in a technical field and 2+ years of solid experience.
• JG08: BS degree in a technical field and 5+ years of thorough experience.
• JG09: BS degree in a technical field and 8+ years of substantial general work experience.
• Ability to manage requirements, translate them into specifications, align interfaces, and maintain traceability.
• Ability to develop mechatronics concepts and solutions, make technical tradeoffs, resolve issues, and realize designs within functionality, performance, cost, compliance, and schedule constraints.
• Deep understanding of control theory, structural dynamics, mechanical design, and vibrational analysis.
• Ability to plan and execute verification and validation, support qualification evidence, and coordinate dependencies.
• Ability to drive results, establish priorities and execution plans, collaborate effectively, integrate diverse perspectives, build effective teams, and communicate direction through ambiguity and change.
• Ability to comply with EHS policies, identify and mitigate safety risks, and be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before starting work.

Nice to have

• MSc preferred for JG07.
• MSc or PhD preferred for JG08 and JG09.
