Software Engineer I - CRM (Embedded) (C/C++): Developing and verifying embedded software for implantable cardiac medical devices with an accent on firmware quality, system integration, and hardware interaction. Focus on troubleshooting embedded systems, interpreting specifications, building test scripts, and applying development lifecycle standards in a regulated healthcare environment.
Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; onsite four days per week with less than 10% travel. Candidates below the Principal level must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not offered for this role.
Salary: $74,400–$111,600 USD base salary, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do
- Develop and test embedded software for implantable cardiac medical devices.
- Integrate software with system, instrument, and hardware functions.
- Document, troubleshoot, and resolve software and system issues using standard and custom tools.
- Apply engineering standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while working independently on assigned deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to work onsite in Mounds View, Minnesota, four days per week.
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for the duration of employment; sponsorship is unavailable below the Principal level.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines and work independently.
Nice to have
- Embedded software development and test scripting experience in C/C++.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and specification interpretation.
- Experience with implantable medical devices or Bluetooth.
- Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
