What you will do

• Lead failure analysis for critical hardware issues from field and factory environments, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
• Extract lessons learned from sustaining investigations and apply them to next-generation hardware quality improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer support, vendors, and customers to resolve hardware concerns.
• Analyze hardware quality metrics and repair-center findings to identify failure trends.
• Provide technical leadership for multi-sourcing, change management, and product-release hardware test reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of board- and system-level hardware design, debugging, and testing experience.
• Expertise with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, IXIA or Spirent traffic analyzers, PCI analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout and routing; familiarity with the Cadence System Design tool suite.
• Knowledge of networking hardware and interfaces including switch ASICs, PHY, SerDes, CPU subsystems, optics, PCIe, NVMe, SATA, I2C, USB, and PoE.
• Strong communication, prioritization, project leadership, high-speed circuit debugging, and signal and power integrity skills.

Nice to have

• FPGA design and debugging experience with Verilog HDL and related design and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Product Lifecycle Management tools such as Agile PLM.
