TL;DR

Head of Product Control & IPV (Fintech): Building and leading the firm's Product Control and Independent Price Verification (IPV) function from the ground up with an accent on derivatives valuation and P&L production. Focus on designing governance frameworks, automating manual controls, and ensuring regulatory readiness for SBSD/OTC Swap Dealer requirements.

Location: Must be based in New York (in-office 4 days per week)

Salary: $160,000–$225,000 base

What you will do

• Design and implement the end-to-end Product Control function, including policies, controls, and governance.
• Establish and operate the IPV framework across diverse asset classes, including OTC derivatives and crypto.
• Own daily P&L production, attribution, and sign-off across all business lines.
• Partner with Technology to implement a fit-for-purpose product control platform.
• Lead the build-out of the team and oversee the fair value hierarchy analysis (Level 1/2/3).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal/external auditors and regulators.

Requirements

• 10+ years in product control, financial control, or valuation at a broker-dealer or investment bank.
• Proven experience building or scaling a Product Control or IPV function.
• Deep expertise in OTC derivatives (equity swaps, TRS, variance swaps, etc.).
• Expert knowledge of derivatives pricing (Greeks, yield curves, vol surfaces).
• Strong understanding of GAAP fair value accounting (ASC 820).
• Experience with CFTC-regulated entities is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with crypto assets.
• Knowledge of CVA/DVA/FVA frameworks.
