Cyber Security Analyst (Fintech)

TL;DR

Cyber Security Analyst (Fintech): Conducting security risk assessments and defining security requirements for critical financial infrastructure with an accent on IAM, PKI, and application security. Focus on validating solution architectures, ensuring compliance with security baselines, and designing secure-by-design requirements for IT initiatives.

Location: Hybrid - 2 days p/week onsite in London

Salary: £500 - £550 per day (Inside IR35)

What you will do

• Perform security risk assessments and translate policies and controls into secure-by-design requirements.
• Review and validate solution architectures against defined security requirements.
• Define security testing requirements and penetration testing scope, and review outcomes.
• Develop and maintain security services and technical standards in line with organisational policies.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in specialist domains such as IAM, PKI, cryptography, or network security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, risk teams, and architects to ensure effective implementation of security controls.

Requirements

• Must be based in London to support a hybrid work model (2 days onsite).
• Proven experience in security risk assessments, functional security requirements, and process design.
• Strong understanding of IAM, PKI, network security, and data protection.
• Application security knowledge, including OWASP principles and security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Broad infrastructure security knowledge covering Cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), SDN, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, SABSA, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer.
• Vendor-specific security certifications.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
