Sr. Director - Software Development (Global Network Engineering) (Python/IaC): Leading the strategy, architecture, and development of hirify.global’s mission-critical infrastructure-as-code platform for more than 10,000 multi-vendor network devices with an accent on network automation, platform reliability, and enterprise-scale engineering. Focus on building always-on automation systems, integrating GenAI and ML-driven operations, and leading geographically distributed engineering and DevOps teams.

Location: Foster City, California, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $194,700–$400,900 USD per year; Colorado range: $194,700–$340,800 USD per year. The role may also include bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Define and execute platform engineering, network automation, and IaC strategies for hirify.global’s global networking portfolio.
• Lead and contribute to development of the high-availability IaC platform serving as the source of truth for production network configuration.
• Lead geographically distributed software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, and network specialist teams.
• Evaluate and deploy containerized automation platforms, telemetry systems, ML-driven anomaly detection, GenAI, and event-driven remediation.
• Establish engineering standards for architecture, testing, CI/CD, security, observability, reliability, and change management.
• Partner with Cybersecurity, Engineering, Operations, Client Services, business leaders, and external vendors to drive enterprise-wide transformation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading large-scale, geographically distributed software, platform, DevOps, or network engineering organizations.
• Deep expertise in Python, SQL, REST APIs, distributed systems, modern web technologies, and production-grade automation platforms.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, SNMP, load balancing, and network monitoring.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform; containerization with Docker or Kubernetes; and CI/CD, testing, code quality, and TDD practices.
• Experience applying AI, ML, and GenAI to operational and infrastructure data, with strong architecture, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
