IT Systems Engineering Manager (Gaming)

Location: Onsite in Verona, New York, USA; 24/7 on-call support is required, with off-hours support handled remotely and onsite escalation when necessary.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus bonus.

Oneida Innovations Group is a major regional employer operating IT and innovation functions for casino and hospitality systems.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, assign, and monitor work across the systems engineering team.
• Administer, monitor, install, configure, and maintain servers and operating systems across a distributed environment.
• Maintain the casino's primary revenue-generating gaming system and perform daily Unix server monitoring.
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, change management, documentation, project tracking, and reporting.
• Lead response to emergency and high-priority incidents, perform root-cause troubleshooting, and determine escalation and resource requirements.
• Partner with networking, engineering, and applications teams to implement infrastructure changes and support IT strategies.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or at least six years of equivalent IT experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
• Extensive experience managing multi-server distributed environments or distributed networks.
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix, hypervisors, Active Directory, IBM SAN/disk technologies, and networking.
• Experience with Windows, AS/400, AIX, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Availability for mandatory 24/7 on-call support and onsite escalation when required.

• At least one year of IT leadership experience.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Experience managing technical resources.
• Experience with gaming and hospitality systems.
