Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design qualitative data collection instruments, including interview guides and focus group protocols.
• Plan and conduct pilot and cognitive testing for research instruments.
• Develop interviewer protocols covering ethics, informed consent, trauma-informed interviewing, and secure data handling.
• Train and certify site interviewers through scored mock interviews and co-facilitated sessions.
• Perform ongoing quality assurance through structured reviews of interview audio and provide written feedback.
• Support codebook development, inter-rater reliability, recurring training, and replication toolkit materials.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance.
• Experience developing qualitative research instruments and conducting pilot and cognitive testing.
• Experience training and certifying interviewers, including trauma-informed and stigma-aware techniques for hard-to-reach populations.
• Strong knowledge of qualitative coding and codebook development.
