Research Associate (Education Systems & Policy)

Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote or from AIR office locations in Arlington, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Sacramento, or Austin).

Salary: $68,640 – $83,200 per year (based on $33–$40/hour).

What you will do

• Prepare and conduct primary source data collection through interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative research data to interpret findings.
• Compile and synthesize information, including literature reviews and policy scans.
• Prepare reports, briefs, charts, and graphs to communicate research results.
• Support proposal writing and business development activities.
• Assist project teams with timeline management and meeting coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree in social sciences.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available).
• Experience with qualitative or quantitative data analysis software such as STATA, R, or NVivo.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment.
