Sr. Solutions Engineer - Enterprise (Data Center)

Location: Remote, but required to reside in the surrounding New York City area; travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.

Base salary: $168,000–$245,000 per year. Estimated on-target earnings, including base salary and bonus: $240,000–$350,000.

What you will do

• Partner with account teams to assess customer data center environments and identify infrastructure and transformation opportunities.
• Design, validate, present, and refine tailored solutions across data center, cloud, networking, security, and services domains.
• Lead the technical pre-sales lifecycle, including demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Build strategic relationships with OEMs and technology partners and collaborate with services, engineering, and delivery teams.
• Advise IT leaders on technology strategy and modernization while driving pipeline growth and opportunity progression.
• Enable sales teams through technical training and mentor junior Solutions Engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role and a completed bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, hybrid cloud, virtualization, and modern compute and storage platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of hypervisors, Docker, Kubernetes, and software-defined data centers.
• Experience designing solutions across AWS or Azure, networking, security, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
• Experience with enterprise technologies including Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp, Pure Storage, VMware, Nutanix, and Veeam.
• Must reside in the surrounding New York City area and be able to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
