Software Engineering Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Dealing Journeys squad within the Trading Tribe.
• Co-own the product roadmap, define outcomes, shape scope, and make data-informed trade-offs.
• Set engineering standards, guide architecture, and review solutions across React and React Native applications.
• Partner with Tech Leads and Architects on distributed system design, scalability, resilience, and evolution.
• Drive delivery forecasting, dependency and risk management, observability, SLOs, alerting, and operational excellence.
• Coach, develop, hire, and support engineers while removing blockers and maintaining predictable delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building full-stack applications and 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong technical background across frontend, mobile, and backend systems, including React, React Native, and API-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, scalable systems, and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of API design, integration, performance optimisation, security, microservice or event-driven patterns, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills.
