Electrician (Automotive)

TL;DR

Electrician (Automotive): Maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems in a Tier 1 automotive environment with an accent on PLC troubleshooting, robotics, and motor controls. Focus on minimizing equipment downtime through rapid emergency breakdown response and the upkeep of high-voltage electrical apparatus.

Location: Onsite in Mount Forest, ON, Canada

Salary: $44.00 per hour (plus night shift premium)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair machine electrical controls, PLCs, machine vision systems, barcode scanners, and robotics.
• Maintain facility systems including HVAC, lighting, switchgear, and compressed air systems.
• Repair mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drives.
• Manage and repair motor controls, including VFDs and AC/DC servo drives and motors.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls in a timely manner to ensure production continuity.
• Utilize eMaint CMMS for effective work orders and parts management.

Requirements

• Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician or 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work on electrical apparatus up to 600 volts AC.
• Availability to work the Night Shift.
• Proven ability to perform work according to Health & Safety and Quality policies.
