HVAC Technician (Engineering)

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and components.
• Service and maintain boilers, package rooftop systems, heat pumps, and unit heaters.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide detailed maintenance reports with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Recover, recycle, store, and dispose of refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Diagnose and repair BAS systems and perform minor electrical repairs on controls, motors, and wiring.
• Price and scope out reactive repairs and small-scale projects.

Requirements

• 313A Journeyman Refrigeration/HVAC certification (required).
• Class 5 License (required).
• Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in the HVAC field.
• Must be based in Vancouver, Canada.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably work at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Strong background in BAS controls for navigation and diagnosis.
• Experience with installation of HVAC-related equipment.
• Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space, and ESC Elevated Work Platform certifications.
• Energy Safety Canada CSO certification.
• Class A or Class B Certificate (Class A preferred).
