HR Specialist

Location: Gosport, UK; based at the site 4–5 days per week

What you will do

• Manage recruitment for roles up to management level across the UK business and liaise with external agencies.
• Advise and coach managers on performance, capability, disciplinary, attendance, and employee relations matters.
• Interpret employment legislation, HR policies, risk, and best practices while developing and reviewing local employment policies.
• Compile and analyze HR metrics covering attendance, retention, skills management, and talent development.
• Develop and deliver training materials for managers and employees.
• Improve HR administration processes, including pensions, private health insurance, company cars, payroll coordination, and employee data management.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience managing employee relations, including recruitment, disciplinary and grievance cases, and complex sickness cases.
• Detailed knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to advise, negotiate with, and influence employees and managers in writing and verbally.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent IT skills and experience with personnel information management systems; CIPD Diploma preferred.
