Laser Engineer (Photonics): Developing, testing and optimising laser systems and optical assemblies for healthcare, robotics and advanced manufacturing applications with an accent on prototype alignment, characterisation and product reliability. Focus on analysing performance data, troubleshooting complex optical and system-level issues, and supporting product validation and manufacturing readiness.

What you will do
- Develop and test laser systems and optical assemblies.
- Build, align and characterise laser prototypes.
- Analyse performance data and identify opportunities to improve product performance and reliability.
- Support product validation, manufacturing readiness and new product introduction.
- Troubleshoot complex laser, optical and system-level issues.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams on new and sustaining engineering activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with lasers, optics, photonics or electro-optical systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience creating technical reports and test documentation.
- Interest in solving challenging engineering problems.
