Senior Product Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: On-site in Cardiff, United Kingdom; limited overnight travel to manufacturing, supplier, and customer sites, typically within the UK.

What you will do

• Execute engineering activities supporting the global product lifecycle of Pall Medical products.
• Support product and process upgrades through value analysis and value engineering (VAVE).
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events.
• Verify and validate new products, high-volume manufacturing lines, and injection mold tools from development through manufacturing transfer and product launch.
• Contribute to reliability improvement programs and CAPA best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional Medical teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in a life-science manufacturing company or similarly regulated industry.
• Experience with risk assessment, technical change control, and validation techniques in a regulated industry.
• Ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques, identify root causes, and sustain improvements.
• Ability to prioritize and complete projects on time with limited direction.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating across multiple departments and functions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and statistical tools.
