Head of Data - Finance

What you will do

• Lead a team of data scientists and analytics engineers embedded in Finance, setting technical priorities and standards.
• Own metric governance and the single source of truth for operational and investor reporting metrics.
• Develop data models, pipelines, and metric definitions supporting FP&A forecasting, planning, Anaplan feeds, and board reporting.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, and Investor Relations to improve data quality and automate financial reporting.
• Lead Finance data architecture evolution, including modelling standards, layer design, and orchestration patterns in dbt and Snowflake.
• Introduce useful AI and automation capabilities while acting as a technical and analytical partner to Finance leadership and the CFO.

Requirements

• Experience leading distributed teams across time zones within a Finance function.
• Experience in environments subject to SOX compliance or public-company reporting scrutiny.
• Strong understanding of data flows from source systems through pipelines and semantic layers to models and reports.
• Ability to write code, build data models, and explain analytical results to a CFO and senior leadership.
• Strong technical leadership, business understanding, communication, governance, and data controls skills.
• Ability to make forecasting and planning data reliable and audit-ready.
