Data Analytics Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and line-manage a team of analytics engineers while setting analytics engineering standards across the wider data community.
• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance data models and data products using dbt and Databricks.
• Provide technical leadership across the Databricks and Tableau business intelligence landscape and enable self-service analytics.
• Define and enforce data contracts between software engineering producers and downstream data models.
• Drive data quality, governance, service levels, documentation, pipeline lineage, and analytical workflow consistency.
• Optimize query execution, data pipelines, and platform capabilities while applying CI/CD, Git, and automated testing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced SQL and deep experience designing scalable data architectures, including dimensional modeling or Data Vault.
• Hands-on mastery of dbt and experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience defining, enforcing, or implementing data contracts and managing producer-consumer interfaces.
• Experience developing and governing semantic layers in AI and BI tools such as Tableau.
• Proven people-management, communication, conflict-resolution, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with two-sided marketplaces, network metrics, or high-velocity event-driven data ecosystems.
• Experience partnering with data science teams on feature stores, Airflow or Databricks Workflows, and machine learning model deployments.
• Interest or experience in preparing data for AI and LLM consumption.
