Security Analyst IoT (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Perform security assessments of IoT and embedded systems against standards such as EN18031 and ETSI EN 303 645.
• Analyze hardware, firmware, microcontrollers, and communication protocols including MQTT, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and BLE.
• Identify, assess, and document vulnerabilities and security risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and product development teams on secure IoT design and implementation.
• Prepare technical reports with vulnerability findings, risk assessments, and mitigation recommendations.
• Track emerging IoT technologies, communication protocols, and embedded-systems security practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electronic Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of hands-on experience with IoT technologies, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, or related areas.
• Practical experience with MQTT, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, BLE, or similar communication protocols.
• Familiarity with IoT platforms, RTOS, or embedded Linux systems.
• Experience with firmware development or analysis using C/C++, hardware diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate in international, multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IoT security frameworks such as OWASP IoT Top Ten.
• Cybersecurity experience or certifications such as OSCP or CEH.
• Participation in technology or IoT communities and forums.
• German, Spanish, or Chinese language skills.
