Automation Lead Engineer

What you will do

• Design and implement automation for recurring incidents, service requests, and operational processes.
• Transform manual operational tasks into scalable, governed automated workflows.
• Collaborate with Platform Operations, SRE, and Service Management teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, deployment automation, and reusable automation frameworks.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, operational visibility, self-healing, and auto-remediation to enhance service reliability.
• Apply software engineering practices, mentor engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Automation Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Python, Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerized environments, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including deployment automation and modern platform engineering practices.
• Experience with monitoring, incident management, testing, version control, peer reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Good English communication skills at B2 level or higher, EU work location, and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying GenAI within the software development lifecycle through defined workflows, prompt patterns, or embedded tool integrations.
• Familiarity with agent-based workflows, AI-augmented development, and emerging AI-driven automation practices.
