What you will do

• Lead an autonomous engineering team in building and maintaining high-quality internal and external products.
• Set team goals, define objectives, track progress, assess risks, and coordinate delivery from planning through release.
• Facilitate technical discussions and code reviews while maintaining strong standards for architecture and code quality.
• Mentor engineers, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and support personal and career growth.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, Engineers, and executives on product and technical direction.
• Lead recruiting and hiring while identifying systemic challenges and coordinating mitigation plans.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with back-end, front-end technologies, and databases.
• 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team, preferably in a small, highly autonomous environment.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, PostgreSQL or Supabase, clean code, development, and automated testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated success delivering products as an engineer and engineering manager, with strong architecture trade-off and code review skills.
• Active experience as an AI-first engineer using tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor to automate repetitive development work.
• Must be based in Europe or South America; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with data labeling, media processing, or PDF manipulation.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Redis, Kafka, Next.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, GCP, or AWS.
• Experience designing AI agents, MCP servers, or data classification components for LLM training.
