Health and Safety Manager (Construction)

What you will do

• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems for a mission-critical data center construction project.
• Ensure compliance with Danish and EU safety regulations and standards.
• Lead safety inductions, training programs, toolbox talks, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and behavioral safety initiatives.
• Manage incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, permit-to-work systems, and high-risk activity controls.
• Coordinate contractor HSE performance, environmental aspects, waste management, sustainability, and emergency response planning.
• Prepare HSE reports, KPIs, and regulatory submissions while interfacing with authorities, the client, and site management; manage the HSE team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HSE management experience on major construction projects.
• Professional HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or CMIOSH.
• Extensive knowledge of Danish and EU safety legislation and standards.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects valued at €100M or more.
• Strong understanding of construction hazards, risk management, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and data center construction safety requirements and protocols.
• Advanced risk assessment and safety management capabilities.
• Experience delivering training and providing behavioral safety leadership.
• Fluent English.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
