Offshore Wind Farm Siting Engineer

Location: Vejle, Syddanmark, Denmark; remote/flexible work available

What you will do

• Assess and characterize offshore wind climates, long-term wind conditions, and site-specific factors for large offshore wind farms.
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize offshore wind farm layouts while balancing energy yield and technical constraints.
• Perform Annual Energy Production and site suitability assessments using multiple calculation models.
• Compare and interpret engineering model results, provide recommendations, and identify technical risks.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales, Loads, Turbine Engineering, and Product Management to define competitive offshore wind solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or preferably master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience in the wind turbine industry, preferably in R&D, project management, siting, or sales.
• Strong understanding of the offshore environment and its relevance to large wind farm siting.
• Experience with commercial siting tools such as Windpro and Openwind, plus the ability to learn internal tools.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.
