TL;DR
Head of Systems Engineering (MedTech): Leading Systems Engineering transformation and product development practices in regulated diagnostics and life sciences products with an accent on requirements engineering, risk management, configuration management, and product lifecycle management. Focus on building organizational capability, coaching engineering professionals, implementing scalable methods and tools, and balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Location: Onsite in Bronshoj, Denmark, based at Radiometer's headquarters in Copenhagen

What you will do

  • Lead the implementation of the Systems Engineering transformation across Product Systems and partnering functions.
  • Define and champion engineering excellence in requirements engineering, risk management, configuration management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Systems Engineering professionals while building capability across adjacent functions.
  • Set priorities, allocate work, manage performance, and deliver quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Act as a hands-on leader on selected initiatives, accelerating adoption of improved methods and tools.
  • Drive alignment among diverse stakeholders and support efficient, compliant, and high-quality product development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in regulated product development, such as medical devices, diagnostics, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Expertise in Systems Engineering, including requirements engineering, risk management, and configuration management.
  • Experience implementing functional transformation and adopting new development practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, talent development, and team leadership.
  • Ability to influence across Product Systems and partnering functions while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience with digital engineering and requirements management platforms.
  • Experience in FDA, IVDR, or ISO 13485 environments.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
