Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: London, UK; hybrid, with two days per week in the office. Candidates must live within a commutable distance and be eligible to work legally in the UK.

Salary: £70,000–£80,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Build and manage scalable Azure infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Manage Dev, SIT, UAT, and production environments for stability and best-practice alignment.
• Integrate code-quality, compliance, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Automate recurring processes and optimize Azure services for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, architecture, infrastructure, product teams, and cloud vendors while mentoring engineers and promoting DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience supporting Azure-based platforms at scale.
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud-native services, including App Services, Function Apps, and Container Apps.
• Software development background and ability to read code to diagnose problems.
• Experience with test automation, code-quality tools, troubleshooting across multiple environments, and technical documentation.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
