Senior Principal Software Engineer (Go/C++)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid work with possible in-person onboarding and identity verification

Salary: 307,000–449,900 PLN starting base salary per year, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own major platform initiatives from technical strategy and system design through implementation and operational excellence.
• Design and build scalable, resilient, secure cloud-native services for high-volume production workloads, focusing on Go and C++ backends and contributing to React frontends.
• Partner with architects and engineering leaders to define technical vision, architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Guide multiple teams through complex technical challenges while balancing long-term architecture with near-term delivery.
• Lead design reviews, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering excellence.
• Drive observability, automation, reliability engineering, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and Agile delivery improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale commercial software systems.
• Experience leading architecture and delivery of complex platform initiatives across multiple teams.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages, with particular value placed on Go and C++.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native applications, API design, databases, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant B2B SaaS platforms and large-scale cloud services in production.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, cloud observability, PWAs, micro frontends, WebGL, 3D visualization, or digital twin platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial, manufacturing, facility operations, asset management, AEC, Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, or simulation technologies.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
