What you will do

• Lead design and implementation of backend systems and microservices for regulatory compliance and legal automation (e.g., IVV, Due Diligence).
• Own data integrity and scalable data pipelines across critical financial systems.
• Drive modernization by refactoring legacy code and migrating toward a modern distributed architecture.
• Replace manual operations with event-driven automation using Kafka and maintain integrations with third-party providers (e.g., Verdata, Salesforce).
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to convert regulatory requirements into accurate technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend-focused software development experience.
• Strong production proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with system design: scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving/system design skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with Python and data tooling (Snowflake, Spark, DBT).
• Experience with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Background in fintech/banking/regulatory environments.
• Experience using AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
