Engineering Manager - Data Ingestion, NG-SIEM (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid, onsite at the New York City office 2–3 days per week once the development center is established; candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. The role supports globally distributed 24/7 systems and requires periodic travel.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a team of 6+ engineers building a petabyte-scale data ingestion platform.
• Solve distributed-systems challenges involving high availability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Own the team roadmap, quarterly OKRs, service-level objectives, and operational excellence for multi-region production systems.
• Collaborate with product management, customer success, support, data platforms, and other product teams.
• Maintain a strong standard for engineering talent, accountability, customer focus, and business impact.
• Coordinate with globally distributed teams and travel several times per year to meet teams and peers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency is required.
• Strong technical background architecting, designing, and developing distributed-systems products in large-scale cloud environments.
• At least 2 years of experience managing teams of 6+ individual contributors and delivering major product milestones.
• Experience operating services spanning multiple components and geographical regions with a focus on operational excellence.
• Demonstrated positive impact on customer experience and business results.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale distributed-system architecture, scalability, availability, and optimization.
• Experience with stream processing, Kafka, or similar technologies.
