Software Test Engineer (Java/.NET)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $76,200–$118,100 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Support and maintain QA and test environments, troubleshoot integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain production-like stability.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, API, automated, performance, and stress tests for Java/.NET Core B2B Identity and Access Management systems.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, test scripts, test data, and test accounts aligned with business requirements.
• Contribute to automation frameworks using Selenium with Java and Postman/Newman, and maintain CI/CD test pipelines with Jenkins.
• Use tools such as Postman, SoapUI, OpenAPI, JMeter, and LoadRunner to test REST APIs and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, demonstrations, post-deployment testing, and collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with REST API testing, automation, Java/.NET Core applications, and relational databases with basic SQL.
• Experience or familiarity with Selenium, Postman, SoapUI, OpenAPI, JMeter, LoadRunner, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate effectively.
• Basic understanding of secure software development practices and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering, and emerging coding practices.
• Experience with Zephyr, GitHub or Bitbucket, Eclipse, Sonar, FindBugs, Checkmarx, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, or Wiki.
