Principal Program Manager (Design Operations)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US or Canada within PST / MST time zones)

Salary: $111,000 – $199,650 (US) / $109,000 – $159,500 (Canada)

What you will do

• Manage programs and initiatives aimed at improving design team success, team health, and overall design impact.
• Establish program goals, strategy, operating models, and governance while aligning diverse stakeholders.
• Design and lead design sprints to accelerate the creation of user-facing products and internal services.
• Coach design team members on work prioritization, level-of-effort estimation, and knowledge sharing.
• Implement new DesignOps workflows using design thinking methods and collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Champion the growth and scalability of the DesignOps discipline across the organization.

Requirements

• 4+ years of design program management experience within a software company.
• Strong familiarity with user-centered design (UCD) practices, UX tools, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of managing significant initiatives and leading design workshops or sprints.
• Fluency in the SDLC and experience optimizing the design team's integration within the development lifecycle.
• Solid foundation in AI and experience helping designers improve their AI fluency.
• Must be based in the US or Canada (PST / MST time zones).
