What you will do

• Inspect commercial, industrial, residential, and hospitality buildings for fire and life safety compliance.
• Evaluate fire protection systems, including suppression, detection, and alarm systems.
• Read and interpret building codes, technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Identify and report all deviations and follow up to verify that corrections of violations have been made.
• Communicate with building owners and managers regarding codes, inspection procedures, and compliance programs.
• Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States (Home Based).
• University degree (Associates equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Safety Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an inspector, building contractor, or engineer in related trades.
• ICC Combo Commercial Inspector certification.
• Certified Electrical Plans Examiner.
• Strong ability to interpret building codes and identify non-compliant installations.
