Location: Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Florida, United States; onsite work with travel across KSC facilities and remote test sites

What you will do

  • Set up, operate, and tear down laboratory and test equipment.
  • Support fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory systems and hardware.
  • Assist engineers and senior technicians with testing, troubleshooting, and equipment modifications.
  • Operate basic electrical test equipment, including digital multimeters and power supplies.
  • Read work instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings while completing assigned tasks.
  • Record test data and support laboratory and field test documentation across KSC.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a NASA background investigation are required.
  • High school diploma or GED with related technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience; at least 7 years of relevant experience is required without additional technical training certificates.
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug testing.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work indoors and outdoors, travel across KSC, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders or elevated platforms.
  • Commitment to NASA and company safety standards.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fabrication and test equipment, hand tools, measurement instruments, and torque tools.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment and experience reading schematics, drawings, and technical instructions.
  • Soldering experience, including surface-mount soldering.
  • Amateur radio or general radio license.
