Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Java/Golang/PHP/Ruby)

Location: Hybrid role based in Ho Chi Minh City, with two work-from-anywhere days per week.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems and services.
• Architect and maintain reliable, high-performance database solutions.
• Implement network communications and API endpoints.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate systems across the stack.
• Apply computer science fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges and support architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend systems.
• Extensive experience with at least one server-side framework using Python, Java, PHP, Ruby on Rails, or a similar technology.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, software architecture, databases, schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, API design, and secure communication.
• Familiarity with modern web architecture, frontend technologies, and full-stack integration.
• Good English communication skills are required for discussing technical topics and collaborating with international teams.
