Sr Manager AI-Enabled Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a team of 3–5 direct-report engineers in delivering sprint and quarterly commitments with high quality, reliability, and predictable execution.
• Partner with Product Management and Design on roadmap planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery trade-offs.
• Hire, coach, develop, and manage the performance of engineers while overseeing contingent resources and maintaining delivery standards.
• Establish engineering practices covering code review, testing strategy, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence.
• Build AI fluency by enabling engineers to use AI tools effectively while applying critical judgment and oversight to AI-generated output.
• Advance AI-driven quality and performance practices, sustainable on-call processes, continuous learning, and proactive technical debt management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• 6+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong foundation in software delivery, engineering operations, and technical collaboration.
• Ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Experience providing AI-augmented quality oversight using dashboards, metrics, and systemic quality indicators instead of relying solely on manual review.
• Strong understanding of AI-aware estimation and delivery planning, including identifying where AI accelerates work and where its impact is limited.
• Ability to drive outcome-based engineering evaluation through decision quality, architectural soundness, operational reliability, and defect prevention.
• Ability to partner effectively across Product Management, Design, and Quality Engineering.
