Senior Financial Analyst

Location: On-site at the NNSA building in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Maintain multi-year financial models for the Five-Year Nuclear Security Program and prepare budget narratives and funding tables.
• Forecast funding needs, analyze financial trends, and create executive briefings.
• Monitor funding allocations at national laboratories and plants, review contractor costs and plans, and support reconciliation.
• Analyze EVMS metrics, IMS performance, cost plans, and funding site splits.
• Track production milestones against baselines and monitor cost, scope, and schedule performance.
• Prepare Congressional and OMB responses, develop dashboards, and maintain financial procedures and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, program management, or a related discipline.
• Active Q or Top Secret security clearance.
• At least five years of experience supporting federal budgeting, project controls, defense programs, or contractor finance.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
• Experience with federal systems software, PPBE processes, and cost analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• NNSA or Stockpile Modernization experience.
• Phase 6.X lifecycle experience.
• Familiarity with DOE sites, plants, or laboratories, including Sandia, Los Alamos, Livermore, Y-12, Pantex, or Kansas City Campus.
• Earned Value Management and Estimate at Completion experience.
