Internal Events Manager

Internal Events Manager (Event Strategy and Experience Design): Building and scaling an internal events design and consulting practice for in-person and virtual employee experiences with an accent on event frameworks, governance, stakeholder consulting, and attendee engagement. Focus on designing complex offsites and company programs, establishing performance metrics, managing budgets, and leading a high-performing team in a remote-first environment.

Location: Remote within Canada; most roles can be performed remotely within the country of employment.

Salary: CAD 112,000–172,000 per year, plus potential equity, stipends, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the event design strategy and consulting model for internal events across in-person and virtual formats.
• Advise business leaders on event formats, agendas, engagement strategies, and experience architecture.
• Build scalable frameworks, standards, governance practices, and planning methodologies for offsites, leadership gatherings, onboarding, training, regional programs, and company-wide experiences.
• Establish metrics for event effectiveness, attendee experience, budget stewardship, and program impact.
• Manage the internal events portfolio and partner with the logistics team to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Event Leads.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in event management, experience design, organizational development, consulting, hospitality, or a related field.
• 2+ years of people management experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience designing complex events, offsites, leadership meetings, learning programs, or large-scale employee experiences.
• Experience building programs, frameworks, or operating models from the ground up.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, project management, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to balance employee experience, operational feasibility, and budget stewardship in a remote-first or distributed environment.
