ESG Engagement Specialist

ESG Engagement Specialist (ESG/Sustainability): Developing and coordinating ESG and sustainability programs, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability communications with an accent on social accountability, ESG metrics, reporting, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on managing customer sustainability requirements, supporting ESG ratings and certifications, and ensuring accurate progress tracking across supply chain, manufacturing, finance, communications, and commercial teams.

Location: Onsite at the Kennewick Office in Kennewick, Washington, USA; occasional travel to plant locations may be required.

Salary: $71,410–$107,110 per year, plus compensation and bonus incentive programs.

What you will do

• Develop, track, and support ESG and sustainability initiatives, programs, and roadmap deliverables.
• Manage the social accountability program and help facilitate core ESG processes.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, HR, EHS, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Communications, Marketing, and commercial teams.
• Lead customer sustainability inquiries, questionnaires, and engagement with ESG rating, ranking, and certification systems.
• Create sustainability content for employee, customer, investor, and external stakeholder communications.
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, auditors, and industry peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Sustainability or Business.
• 3–5 years of general business experience; ESG or Sustainability experience is preferred.
• Understanding of ESG and sustainability strategies, metrics, insights, and reporting.
• Strong project management, logical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and initiative leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across multiple departments and organizational levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Nice to have

• Experience in Supply Chain, Communications, or Marketing.
• Experience with social accountability programs, ESG ratings, rankings, or certifications.
